Hanyuan (Karen) Wang is the founder of Climind , building the AI backbone for the next generation of sustainable business. She is recognized by the United Nations as one of the 17 Young Leaders for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) — the first Chinese female to receive this honor.

 

Karen also co-founded the GreenBridge Institute, a global platform connecting sustainability education, talent, and emerging markets through initiatives in education, employment, and entrepreneurship.

 

Beyond entrepreneurship, she serves on the boards of international NGOs, including as the youngest Board Director of the Foundation for the Museum for the United Nations — UN Live

 

Previously, Karen worked as a Research Assistant at Imperial College London’s Centre for Climate Finance and Investment (CCFI), where she focused on voluntary carbon markets, climate risk, and nature-based solutions, particularly in Asian contexts. Earlier in her career, she gained early career professional experience at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Microsoft. A Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree for building Carbonbase, MiraclePlus S21 (former Y Combinator China)

 

Karen holds a BSc in Statistics and Computer Science from Hong Kong Baptist University, an MSc in Climate Finance from Imperial College London, and is a Schwarzman Scholar at Tsinghua University ( Student of the Year at Tsinghua University, and Best Thesis Award )
