Joined a Mongolia Visit in Ulaanbaatar During UNCCD COP17 to Explore Green and Digital Infrastructure, August 2026
The visit to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, in August 2026 took place during the period of the 17th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD COP17). COP17 was held in Ulaanbaatar from 17–28 August 2026 under the theme “Restoring Land. Restoring Hope.”, bringing together governments, international organisations, businesses, researchers and civil society to address land degradation, drought resilience and sustainable development.

The Mongolia visit was organised with George Chen, Marshall Li and Byambajargal Ayushjav. George Chen is Partner and Chair of Digital Practice at The Asia Group and a Distinguished Visiting Professor at Schwarzman College, Tsinghua University. Marshall Li is an Associate at The Asia Group and a Schwarzman Scholar alumnus, while Byambajargal Ayushjav works across digital transformation, ESG, renewable energy and public policy in Mongolia.
