Oslo Energy Forum 2024 was held from 13 to 15 February at Scandic Holmenkollen Park in Oslo, Norway. Organized under the theme “Action for Transformational Change,” the forum focused on moving from energy-transition commitments to practical implementation.
Oslo Energy Forum is a non-profit platform that connects leaders from the energy industry, finance, government, research institutions, international organizations and civil society. Its discussions focus on the policy, commercial and technological conditions required to develop a sustainable low-carbon economy.
The 2024 programme followed the conclusion of COP28 and addressed energy-system transformation, climate finance, international policy, artificial intelligence and a just transition. Participants included Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan, US Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry, World Bank representatives and senior executives from international energy and financial institutions.
