The 2025 Hong Kong Climate Forum was held on 24–25 March 2025 at the Great Room of W Hong Kong. The two-day forum was co-organised by the Institute for Climate and Carbon Neutrality at the University of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau of the Hong Kong SAR Government, and the Business Environment Council.

Established as an annual platform for regional and international climate cooperation, the forum brought together government representatives, academic researchers, business leaders, investors, and climate technology companies. Participants included Hong Kong Financial Secretary Paul Chan, Secretary for Environment and Ecology Tse Chin-wan, HKU President Zhang Xiang, and representatives from China’s Ministry of Ecology and Environment. The programme covered global carbon markets, financing the energy transition in the Global South, AI-driven Earth data and analytics, planetary health, and climate resilience.

The session explained how these tools can reduce the time required to process fragmented climate information, review policy and disclosure documents, and identify relevant evidence for sustainability work. It also outlined applications in climate research, ESG analysis, regulatory review, and enterprise decision-making.
