Spoke on Climate AI and Technology for Good at the Fifth East-West Philanthropists Summit in Hawaii on 14–15 January 2025

The Fifth East-West Philanthropists Summit was held on 14–15 January 2025 at Jefferson Hall in the East-West Center’s Imin International Conference Center in Hawaii, United States.

The summit was co-organized by the Peking University Education Foundation (USA) and the East-West Philanthropy Forum, with funding and support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and other strategic partners. It was organized under the theme “Philanthropic Empowerment · Joint Innovation · Sustainable Future.”

The event brought together philanthropists, foundation leaders, academics, entrepreneurs and specialists from the United States, China, Japan, India and other countries. Participants examined how philanthropy can strengthen international understanding and support coordinated responses to environmental and social challenges.

The programme included five roundtable discussions covering philanthropic innovation for global challenges, international cooperation, women’s leadership, new opportunities for philanthropy in Eastern and Western markets, and the use of technology to support positive social and industrial change.
