Spoke on Science-Based Climate Cooperation at the 2025 Vatican Youth Symposium in Vatican City on 3 April 2025

The ninth Vatican Youth Symposium was held on 3–4 April 2025 at Casina Pio IV in Vatican City. The event was jointly organized by the Sustainable Development Solutions Network Youth Initiative, known as SDSN Youth, and the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences.

SDSN Youth is the youth initiative of the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network, which was launched in 2012 to mobilize academic, scientific and technical expertise in support of sustainable development. The Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences supports research and dialogue on social, economic and environmental issues within the Vatican.

The 2025 symposium was organized under the theme “Voices of Change: Sparking Hope with Sustainable Solutions.”It brought together 72 participants from 38 countries, including policymakers, researchers, business representatives, students, youth advocates and sustainability practitioners. The programme covered education, sustainable cities, human rights, climate action, entrepreneurship and youth participation in the post-2030 development agenda.
